IMMIRA is a research project exploring human interaction with AI systems through a narrative-driven conversational interface. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you use IMMIRA, we collect:

• Email address - Used to identify your account and manage credits
• Conversation content - All messages you send and receive are recorded
• Session data - Timestamps, session identifiers, and usage patterns
• Payment information - Processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card details

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

Your data is used for:

• Research purposes - Analyzing conversation patterns, user engagement, and AI interaction dynamics
• Service operation - Managing your account, credits, and providing the MIRA experience
• Improvement - Enhancing the AI's responses and overall system quality

DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with industry-standard security measures. Conversations are associated with your email address and stored in a secure database accessible only to authorized researchers.

DATA RETENTION

Conversation data is retained indefinitely for research purposes unless you request deletion. Account data is retained as long as your account is active.

YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

• Access - Request a copy of all data associated with your email
• Deletion - Request complete removal of your data from our systems
• Withdraw - Stop using the service at any time

RESEARCH USE

Anonymized conversation data may be used in academic publications, presentations, or reports about human-AI interaction. No personally identifiable information will be published without explicit consent.

THIRD PARTIES

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic - AI model provider (conversations are processed through their API)
• Stripe - Payment processing
• Cloudflare - Hosting and data storage

COOKIES

We use local storage to maintain your session. No tracking cookies are used.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of IMMIRA after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
